Flash flood hits RV park in Virginia
FRIES, Va. — A small camper was nearly washed away, and campers were left with quite a mess to clean up, after a flash flood hit the New River RV Park in Fries last Friday, reports WSLS.
“I waded through the water and found it very precariously balanced on a rock, where all the soil had washed away from it,” said owner Tim Bost.
Campground owner Tom Guy pushed a log into place to act as a barricade from the nearby stream in case of future flooding.
The park is back open for business.
